Thanks to Tomytek Outdoors, we put together a big crew and hit the water on an unusually warm day in early January. As a multi-species guy, I really wanted to try for Yellow Perch and Crappie before catfishing, but the bite for the former two just wasn’t there. BUT – once we switched to the catfish bite – the day turned around fantastically! I go through a great deal of the techniques and gear used this day in the video but see below as well for links to specific gear used. Gear Descriptions: - The rod and reels were medium-heavy to heavy setups, 6.5’ – 7.5’ in length - 20lb Suffix Braid: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/sufix... - Team Catfish Sinker Slides: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/team-... - Trokar Octopus Hooks: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/troka... - 2’ Monofilament, 20lb - Barrel Swivels: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/offsh...
