After the great success of 'Flying Scotsman and the 'Shildon Shed Bash' in July, I expected Locomotion to have a somewhat small scale 'Autumn Steam Gala' after all of the recent 'Scotsman' hype. At first i was right, with the only visiting engine originally announced being Robert Stevenson and Hawthorn 0-4-0ST 'Agecroft No. 1' from the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. However, Locomotion had a few tricks up their sleeve and at the last minute revealed that Barclay 0-4-0ST 'Bon Accord' from the Royal Deeside Railway and fellow Robert Stevenson and Hawthorn 0-4-0ST 'Sir Cecil A. Cochrane' from the nearby Tanfield Railway. With a handful of bigger locos from the home fleet, a distinct 'Industrials' theme surrounded the event. The Full Lineup Consisted Of: Visiting: Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST 'Bon Accord' (From the Royal Deeside Railway. Making its first ever appearance in England) RSH 0-4-0ST 'Agecrodt No. 1' (From the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry) RSH 0-4-0ST 'Sir Cecil A. Cochrane (From the Tanfield Railway) Home Fleet: NER Wordsell M1 4-4-0 1621 GNR 'Large-Boiler' C1 4-4-2 251 LNWR Improved Precedent 2-4-0 790 'Hardwick' Furness Railway A5 0-4-0 No. 20 (On Brake Van Duties) I hope you all enjoy the video. Special Thanks to NRM Shildon for a very good gala. Feel free to comment and subscribe!
