My model railway, East Layton, is based on a fictional branchline, but that doesn't mean that i do not possess some mainline rolling stock. One of which is the exquisite Hornby LNER Thompson B1 1040 'Reedier' which for this episode of 'Summer Sunday Scenes' was lined up with an unfitted fast fright service. In the days of steam, many B1s would've hauled services such as this on the East Coast Main Line. Headed for the goods yard at Penrith, 1040 'Roedeer' is seen storming through East Layton bound for Winston, where the line connects with the Stainmore route between Darlington and Penrith. Arriving in the up platform immediately afterwards is LNER Gresley V3 2-6-2T 67628 with the 14:06 passenger train to Richmond. Please be aware that there will be a two-week break in videos whilst i take a holiday. After i return, normal service will resume and the layout will be fully refurbished, hopefully in time for 'The Richmondshire Railway Series' to be released by Christmas. I hope you all enjoy the video. Feel free to comment and subscribe!
